THE FOUNDING CONFERENCE OF THE ALLIANCE OF INDUSTRIAL INTERNET WAS HELD IN BEIJING
The Founding Conference of the Alliance of Industrial Internet was held in Beijing on February 1st, 2016. Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, attended this conference and delivered an important speech. Chen Zhaoxiong, vice Minister of the Industry and Information technology, Zhang Feng, chief engineer of the Ministry of Information and Information Technology, representatives of related departments, bureaus and units, industry experts and related guests participated in this conference. 
The Alliance of Industrial Alliance aims to establish the cooperation and promotion platform of the industrial Internet, gather the backbone forces and related organizations of the industrial community and the information & communication field, serve enterprises, support the government decision-making, promote the development of the industrial Internet, and provide necessary support for promoting the integration of China Manufacturing 2025 and “Internet+”. The task of the Alliance is to gather forces of various parties of the industrial ecology, jointly carry out the technological R&D, standardization, pilot demonstration and the construction of the public service platform for the industrial Internet, and jointly explore new models and new mechanisms of the industrial Internet. The Alliance should also carry out the pilot demonstration, push forward the technological and industrial development and the application promotion, conduct extensive international cooperation, and form the globalized cooperation platform. 
In the speech at the Founding Conference of the Alliance of Industrial Internet, Miao Wei pointed out that the industrial Internet has become the common choice of major industrial powers to realize the intelligent manufacturing and seize the commanding height of the competition in the international manufacturing industry. Currently, China is in a critical period of restructuring and kinetic energy conversion, to vigorously develop the industrial Internet will strongly promote the structural reform of the supply side of the manufacturing industry, improve the industrial quality and efficiency, and also create unlimited business opportunities and open up new Blue Ocean for the innovative and transformative development of various enterprises. He emphasized that both China Manufacturing 2025 and “Internet+” actions will regard the layout of the industrial Internet as an important task in order to promote the development of the industrial Internet. 
Miao Wei gave instructions to the mission and task of the Alliance, requesting the Alliance to play the leading and driving role well, and truly become a two-way communication platform for the government and enterprises, the crossover integration platform for the industrial and information fields, and an effective docking platform for the domestic development and international cooperation. He also hoped that related departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen the business guidance, and local competent departments will actively support the work of the Alliance and jointly create the situation of good development. 
“The Alliance of Industrial Internet” accepted the business guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, acted as chairman of the Steering Committee. Organizations of the Alliance include the General Assembly of Members, the Expert Committee, the council and the standing council, and the secretariat is established under the council. Wu Hequan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), acted as chairman of the Expert Committee. China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) is the president unit of the Alliance, and President Cao Shumin acted as chairman. The Alliance of Industrial Internet also includes nine vice president units including China Aerospace Science and Industrial Corporation (CASIC), China Telecom, Haier and Huawei, as well as 34 president units including Sany Heavy Industry, Weichai Power, China Mobile and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. 143 units belong to the first group of member units of the Alliance, including 56 industrial enterprises, 48 information and communication enterprises, seven information and communication security companies, six associations, 15 university-level scientific research institutes and 11 overseas enterprises.
