On November 7th, 2016, the Vice-Director of the Ministry of Industry and Information, Chen Zhaoxiong, met with John Tuccillo, the Director of the Guiding Committee of Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), to exchange ideas on strengthening the cooperation on industrial internet.

 

 

Chen Zhaoxiong expressed his recognition that industrial internet is not only a significant infrastructure for the deep integration of the new generation ICT and industrial manufacture, but also the important basic upholder for developing intelligent production. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pays high attention to as well as proactively promotes the development of industrial internet. The MIIT is willing to strengthen the communication and cooperation with the international society on system architecture, standards establishment, core technology and security assurance of industrial internet. He also encouraged the better communication between IIC and the Chinese Alliance of Industrial Internet (AII) who can explore the practical way of cooperation, especially on pilot example. 

 

Tuccillo said that ICC values international and regional cooperation, and is willing to establish long-term cooperation with AII and the Chinese Industrial Internet community, in order to promote the global application and development of industrial internet. 

 

The attendees of this meeting also included: the Vice-Director of the Communication Administrative Bureau of MIIT, Liu Jie; the Vice-Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Cheng Jianjun and the Dean of the China academy of Information Communication, Liu Duo.
